The Start Of A New Beginning

Varsha and I spent a while thinking of a name for this blog. She has this huge list of names for a pub, and so while in the pub-name-thinking mood, I started off with "The Bottom of the Sea". After a couple of other suggestions, I came up with "When We Aren't Thinking About Niyati and [insert the most common thing on Varsha's mind here]", although I wasn't the least bit serious when I suggested the name. It did draw a smile on Varsha's face though.

Varsha then suggested FootLoose and although initially I thought it was a brand of footwear, I couldn't really remember too clearly and so we went along with the name. If they do decide to sue us for trademark infringement, just remember that no one has ever heard about their brand in a long long time and so, by default, we get to keep the name... that is unless the judge lacks a sense of humor when we blog about him or her, as the case may be.

We couldn't get FootLoose in the URL and so once again the process of brainstorming began. I think I even heard a lightning bolt from Varsha's brain... that is very loud, considering that we live miles away. She suggested CultZelpho, but we aren't starting something like the KKK here. I came up with isthistheend and several others but all of them were unavailable. Among the available URLs were:
differentbutsimilar, itsradical, intheseason, footinasock, and rubberchickenwithapulleyinthemiddle. A while later, Varsha and I settled on codeoutkast and so we setup the team blog, I tweaked some settings while she got a head-start on the first blog entry. Then, I started writing a blog entry too and that's how I got to this little fleeting ephemeral moment of time.

I guess this all goes on to show how the spunk, the burning desire to write. As legions rise and fall into the dust, Varsha & Nitin work against time to create a team blog... something that's humorous but not too cheesy, something that has passion but not so much that we end up writing the tragic tale of Nitin and Niyati, and something that draws attention but not something as much as a bunch of guys trying to blow up some commercial buildings and are just out there.
