Sujana can write

Blog this, blog that, every other day it's something we tell Sujana about
blogging, but she never really seemed to listen, till one fine day she
became a part of this really happening team blog called Foot Loose. After
that, there was just no stopping for her. She wrote all day, and she wrote
all night. Writing had become a second passion for her - her first passion
remained web design & graphics.

About a year later, Varsha woke up to the sound of the doorbell and so she
looked though the peeping hole, expecting a Huffing Puffing Wolf standing on
the other side of the door. Well, before you think it's the story of the 3
little pigs, let me *ahem* interrupt and remind you that we're talking about
the story of Sujana, Varsha and the other guys. So, Varsha opens the door
and it's the courier guy who hands her an envelope that has a book within
it. Wow, a book! Varsha loves books! Nitin loves notebooks & PDAs, but
that's not quite the same thing. Varsha's love for book dates back to the
time that she dedicated herself to studying English literature but then
something happened. That's a story for another day and another post, so more
on that later.

...so Varsha was delighted to receive a brand new book, fresh off the
shelves. She ripped off the cover to read the title:

"The Classic Life and Tales of Sujana", by Sujana

PS: I didn't get to read it yet - I'm waiting for the e-book version of it
to be released as a PDF, so as soon as I get a copy, there'll be more on
that soon.

The Start Of A New Beginning

Varsha and I spent a while thinking of a name for this blog. She has this huge list of names for a pub, and so while in the pub-name-thinking mood, I started off with "The Bottom of the Sea". After a couple of other suggestions, I came up with "When We Aren't Thinking About Niyati and [insert the most common thing on Varsha's mind here]", although I wasn't the least bit serious when I suggested the name. It did draw a smile on Varsha's face though.

Varsha then suggested FootLoose and although initially I thought it was a brand of footwear, I couldn't really remember too clearly and so we went along with the name. If they do decide to sue us for trademark infringement, just remember that no one has ever heard about their brand in a long long time and so, by default, we get to keep the name... that is unless the judge lacks a sense of humor when we blog about him or her, as the case may be.

We couldn't get FootLoose in the URL and so once again the process of brainstorming began. I think I even heard a lightning bolt from Varsha's brain... that is very loud, considering that we live miles away. She suggested CultZelpho, but we aren't starting something like the KKK here. I came up with isthistheend and several others but all of them were unavailable. Among the available URLs were:
differentbutsimilar, itsradical, intheseason, footinasock, and rubberchickenwithapulleyinthemiddle. A while later, Varsha and I settled on codeoutkast and so we setup the team blog, I tweaked some settings while she got a head-start on the first blog entry. Then, I started writing a blog entry too and that's how I got to this little fleeting ephemeral moment of time.

I guess this all goes on to show how the spunk, the burning desire to write. As legions rise and fall into the dust, Varsha & Nitin work against time to create a team blog... something that's humorous but not too cheesy, something that has passion but not so much that we end up writing the tragic tale of Nitin and Niyati, and something that draws attention but not something as much as a bunch of guys trying to blow up some commercial buildings and are just out there.
